Jason Saitta is a 20 year-old musician from Chantilly, Virginia studying Audio Engineering Technology and Computer Science at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. While his main focus has been as a singer and guitarist, Jason enjoys playing a number of other instruments including piano, bass, and harmonica. He is an avid, all-around musician who loves to express himself through writing, recording, and producing his own music, performing alternative, pop and classic rock covers, as well as original songs. Since 2014, Jason has been volunteering with the program Musicians On Call which works to bring live music to the bedsides of hospital patients. He has performed for people of all ages at hospitals and other health facilities around Washington D.C. as well as the Nashville area. In 2013, Jason was selected by the Grammy Foundation® as 1 of 74 high school students to participate in the ninth annual GRAMMY Camp® program for songwriting in Los Angeles. Jason ranks his most significant musical influences as Pink Floyd, Tonic, and Third Eye Blind, noting the combination of sound and strong imagery in their music and lyrics. Jason is also an avid recording artist focused on music production and engineering, and he regularly records and produces in his home studio. Jason has been a member of three other bands; an acoustic duo called The Exceptions, a full band called That’s What She Said, and a progressive metal band called Blank Planet. The Exceptions were named the winners of the McLean Idol Artfest in 2012; That’s What She Said has won a number of band competitions, including being selected as one of a group of bands to open for Mayday Parade at the 2013 Loudoun Youthfest, and Blank Planet recently won the fan favorite votes at multiple battles of the bands and were also selected to open for The Mowglis at the 2014 Loudoun Youthfest. Jason released his debut 5-song EP "That's the Problem" in 2013 which is available for download from multiple websites and media outlets online.
